The Dr. Frederick Cook New School of Art Course 1 Painting for Everyone
There are three spaces left in the upcoming Cook Society painting class.
The course, inspired by the polar photography of explorer Dr. Frederick Cook, will focus on painting techniques, creativity and fun! It is suitable for beginners as well as advanced painters. Any water based paint can be used, including acrylics, water-colours and water based oil paints. Advanced and intermediate students should bring their own supplies. Beginners will be provided with supplies and a materials list at the first class. $10 per class suggested donation to benefit the Cook Society.
Instructor Carol Smith holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree in painting, and a bachelor's degree in Art History. She spent 25 years as a studio artist, exhibiting in galleries from Florida to New York.
The course will be held at the Sullivan County Museum, 265 Main Street, Hurleyville, New York. Class dates are every Wednesday, beginning January 18th, through February 22nd, from 2-3:30. Registration is required. To register please email carolsmith2223@gmail.com or call 845 434-8044.
