Wandering the Bashakill with Elly Knieriemen

Join educator Elly Knieriemen as she shares her photographs taken at the Bashakill Wildlife Management area. If you've visited MEEC, you've seen some of her beautiful photographs gracing the walls. Elly Knieriemen has been a long time educator and now a retired teacher with more time to be a nature photographer. She is a member of the BKAA, the Wurtsboro Art Alliance and now a volunteer at the Mamakating Environmental Education Center. She is always looking for ways to promote and share her love of the natural wonders of the Basha Kill. As a teacher of social studies for 42 years in the Goshen School district, she found that her love of teaching was directly connected to the conversations and interactions in small groups. "Teaching was my passion and my vocation so I treat my presentations in much the same way. Whether paddling the kayak or walking the many trails of the Basha Kill, the beauty of nature is there every day." Please call to register
